On Sunday, the Miami Dolphins were able to coax Jay Cutler out of retirement for a one-year deal worth $ 10 million.
But before landing Cutler, the Dolphins reportedly considered signing Tim Tebow. That’s according to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald.
Among QB names Dolphins considered before discarding for multiple reasons in favor of Cutler: Kaepernick, Tebow, Orton.

Tebow hasn’t played in an NFL regular season game since 2012. He bounced around with the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles in the 2013 and 2015 preseason, respectively.
The former Heisman Trophy winning quarterback is now a member of the Mets single A-team in St. Lucie. Tebow is hitting .262 with 5 home runs and 23 RBI in single A ball.
In addition to his minor league duties Tebow will also be an analyst for the SEC Network this year.
