Stephen Johnson threw for 298 yards and 2 touchdowns and the Kentucky Wildcats held off the Missouri Tigers, 40-34, on Saturday night in Lexington.

Kentucky improves to 5-1 overall and 2-1 in the SEC. Missouri is 1-4 and 0-3 in conference games.

Things definitely are looking up for the Wildcats and the schedule is favorable for more UK wins. Here’s what coach Mark Stoops said after the game, but check out what Big Blue Nation fans are saying about win No. 5 of 2017.

Mike Larry: Omg my heart was literally beating out my chest goodness. My cats are gone be the death of me whewww😂😓😖😔

Jan McReynolds Cahill: Not pretty but a win is a win. Hopefully our defense can regroup on the bye

Jarrod Dople: Good to see them find a way to win but it was a scary win

Jaycob Frye We played a hell of a game tonight. The secondary needs to play little bit better. But gave some deep plays on defense. But we were due to have a bad defense game and we did have it and it out of the way. But it’s okay cause everyone is going to have that.

Steve Morgan: The rest of the season could see a lot of L unless the offensive line can protect the QB and open up holes for Snell. Also, the safeties continue to get beat on the deep pass. I’m glad #99 is on our team! Go CATS!

Josh Tinnell: Ehh not a game to be happy about..almost lost to the worst team in the league, with the help of the officials at the end

Mike Clark: It’s amazing this team is 5-1 they are going to have to step it up the rest of the year is going to be a little harder

Wayne N Anita Gravitt: Has to be the worst defensive game this season, and against the worse team in our conference.
