TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — A walk-on wide receiver for Alabama football was arrested for domestic violence on Thursday, according to the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Department arrest database.
Donnie Lee has been dismissed from the team, according to a statement from Alabama coach Nick Saban.
“Donnie Lee Jr., a walk-on who has not been participating in team activities since a knee injury in August, has been dismissed from our football team and is no longer part of our program,” Saban said in a statement. “This behavior will not be tolerated from anyone and is not representative of our football program.”
Lee suffered a knee injury during fall camp, and has not been with the team since. Lee, a senior, was not listed on Alabama’s online roster.
Alabama hosts Tennessee on Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
